Information for the 2010 Doinker Texas Shootout

Location:

Texas A&M Lacrosse Fields, TexasA&M Campus, College Station, TX

Entry Fee:

$90*, late fee: $115**   Deadline: Postmarked by April 9, 2010 to avoid late fee

*Includes fiesta Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the archery field and team round competition. (Extra fiesta tickets are $10 each)   

*Cancellations prior to April 9, 2010 will receive a refund less 20%. No refunds after April 9, 2010

The Manor Inn ($69.00).  To reserve your room and get the tournament rate, call (800) 231-4100 or (979) 764-9540. Let them know you are with the Texas Shootout block. Amenities include outdoor swimming pool, continental breakfast 6-10 a.m., free HBO/cable TV, fridge and microwave in the rooms, 24 hour security and a complimentary coffee and fruit 24 hrs.
 

Round:

Single 70M (72 arrows) round on Saturday for Senior, Collegiate, and Junior Divisions; Single 60M (72 arrows) for Cadet Division / FOR on Sunday for Senior, Collegiate, and Junior Divisions.

The tournament is open to all Senior, Collegiate, Junior, and Cadet Recurve and Compound archers. You must be an NAA or NFAA member. Application forms for membership can be found on the USA Archer website at http://www.usarchery.org. Forms will also be available at the tournament. Be prepared to show your current card or buy a membership.

Friday, April 23, 2010: Practice

12:00pm – 5:00pm……………….  Unofficial Practice

 

Saturday, April 24, 2010: Single 70 meter Round – 72 arrows total (60M for Cadets)

7:00am - 7:45am………………… Official Practice (Senior/Collegiate/Junior/Cadet Male Recurve; Senior/Collegiate/Junior/Cadet Female Compound)

8:00am…………………………… Senior/Collegiate/Junior/Cadet Male Recurve; Senior/Collegiate/Junior/Cadet Female Compound

12:00pm – 12:45pm………………Official Practice (Senior/Collegiate/Junior/Cadet Male Compound; Senior/Collegiate/Junior/Cadet Female Recurve)

1:00pm…………………………... Senior/Collegiate/Junior/Cadet Male Compound; Senior/Collegiate/Junior/Cadet Female Recurve

*Please make note…cadets only shoot the qualifying round and not the Olympic Round*

 

Sunday, April 25, 2010: Olympic Rounds

7:00am – 7:30am…………………Official Practice (Seniors/Collegiates/Juniors)

**Rest of times will be determined depending on number of entries for each division.  We will try to present awards around 2:00pm**

Prizes: Qualification Round

 

Senior Divisions:

·         Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in all categories

 

Junior Divisions:

·         Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in all categories

 

Cadet Divisions:

·         Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in all categories

 

Collegiate Divisions:

·         Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in all categories

 

Team Round:

·         Medals will be given to all team members for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places

o   70 meter archers (Seniors, Collegiates, Juniors) will be combined for team rounds. Cadets will shoot 60 meters against other Cadets, unless there are not enough teams; they will be given the option to join a team that is shooting 70 meters.

 

Prizes: Elimination Rounds

 

·         Cash prizes are awarded for the top three (3) places in Male Compound, Female Compound, Male Recurve, and Female Recurve.

 

*Please note that Seniors, Collegiates, and Juniors will be placed in the same bracket*
